Hello!

Thanks for dropping by - I hope you find this place interesting. 

I live in Northern Ireland and recently celebrated 20,000 days of inhabiting this earth (mid-50s before you reach for the calculator!). I was born in Scotland and moved here about 20 years ago with my family. So still a "blow-in" :)

This hobby costs the equivalent of 7 pints of pub Guinness per year to run, and I'm happy to fund that myself. I'm not trying to sell you anything. There are no adverts, affiliate links, or cookies.

/Now

• Woodworking - I'm revamping my workshop this year. I recently installed a diesel air heater in my workshop. Next job is setting up my new mini bandsaw.
• Photography - not much. Just a few snaps on my phone when something catches my eye.
• Cycling - waiting until the weather warms up a bit :-)
• Books I'm reading
• Working from motorhome for a few days - it's a nice change of scenery from the home office.

/Uses

• Home computing:
  • Linux Mint Debian Edition on an Asus Vivibook S14. Love this laptop.
  • Synology DS423+ NAS for backups, file sharing etc.
  • Publii for maintaining this website. I'm taking a break from home-brewed SSGs as I spent more time tinkering with code than actually updating my website :) 

Travel Plans

Currently writing this from our motorhome that's parked in Castlerock, Northern Ireland. I've been working here for a few days, and will stay the weekend to do some walking on the beach and local trails. The weather is very windy, and very wet. Just like summer :)

Next trip will be in a few weeks.
