Colophon
Writing a colophon seems to be all the rage these days for personal websites. Here's mine:
I manage the content using the Linux AppImage of Publii, an open source CMS that I like a lot. The built in editor and FTP client are great, as is the automatic image processing to cater for different browser screen sizes.
The workflow is similar to when I used Allaire Homesite back in the '90s, except this one has fancy WYSIWYG editors :)

This website uses the stock Publii Simple template, for now. Petrona is the font used for headings, and stock OS defaults for the body text.
I use SpeedyPage in the UK for hosting. I'm on the cheapest shared hosting "Starter" package (£24.90/yr). Their customer support is excellent. I always get fast answers within a couple of minutes, even at 4am on a Sunday!
Having said that, I might try Bunny CDN when my SpeedyPage contract expires. That should work out much cheaper, and you can even upload files directly, rather than having to do the usual GitHub as the middle-step thing. Bunny is EU-based, which I prefer to US products when there is a meaningful choice. I learned about Bunny's FTP option when I read Andie Keller's blog.
I use Cloudflare to manage my domain names, primarily because they're cheap, and the domain management service has been good.
I don't have any tracking on the website, and there are no cookies.
